From our humble beginnings in 1981 with a 4 track tape machine, Squeezer Recording has consistently recorded and produced projects that have received critical praise and garnered radio and internet airplay. With our blend of vintage gear and modern recording tools we are confident we can bring your musical vision to reality.

Owner/ Engineer Bruce Monroe began playing solo guitar/ harmonica shows at coffee houses around the eastern USA in 1977. He moved on to playing in Rock and Americana bands and often mixed the sound from the stage. His services for mixing were sought after by several local bands and successfully, he started mixing National acts in 1986. BB King, Ray Charles, Arlo Guthrie, Roy Orbison, Leslie West and John Prine are just a few examples of the wide variety of artists he mixed at live shows in the 80’s. Concurrently, Bruce apprenticed at Chase Media Studio in upstate NY, learning the basics of multi track recording, and opened Squeezer Recording after Chase moved to Nashville. Squeezer Recording has been in continuous operation since 1981.

Syracuse New Times 1989
“Whenever I need help with a project, be it mixing, mastering, or anything else, I know I can count on Bruce. Not only is he super reliable, but his passion for and commitment to his work are obvious. Having worked with many other people in the past, it is a great relief to work with someone like Bruce who I know is going to get the job done right, and who cares about the final outcome of my music just as much as I do.”
